Pump direction of rotation
I'm probably the first person ever to ask, but does it matter which way an injection pump rotates? The Rover 25 and 45 appear to have the same pump as the Ford Focus, and yet the Ford is fitted on the front and spins clockwise, and the Rover it is mounted on the back of the engine and spins anti-clo...

Re: Injection pump pulley
Cheers Dan,
I've rung local diesel specialist and they say they put them on a test rig to set the timing. I have got another pump coming with pulley still attached

There is a bolt that can be unscrewed in the side of the pump to lock the pump, is this the right position for fittin...

Parts are still available through (ex) MG Rover dealers, motor factors, ebay or local breakers.
regards
Pete

Re: Sensor operating ranges
I am planning to put it in a Sherpa camper van, it will use a different immobiliser and also operate some extra bits such as as Split charge system, an Econometer and whatever else I fancy. As well as a rev counter, temperature-controlled glow plug timing, testing sensor inputs and glow plug testing...

Sensor operating ranges
I have been designing an ECU for my L-series so I had to measure the coolant temperature sensor reading at different temperatures. I thought I would post them up here in case anyone has a problem it would help them check the sensor. If anyone does the same with any other sensors, post them up here :...
