Thanks for the photos, I'll "steal" them for the website when I get my laptop back from being repaired.

At least the weird sound was explained easily eventually.

I'm back with one question.

How deep have you ever played with the so called gov mod ? Pre loading the spring in the governor arm. Most of the mods in the web shows a 2 spring setup instead like our SD Rover pumps have only one big main spring ?

For now I only added 2 more washers from a spare SD pump but I still can't rev it over 4.200 rpm in 5th gear. at idle it goes to nearly 5.100rpm

Could just be a lack of fuel meaning it can't get to higher rpm to activate the governer.

I use the Freelander SDI camplate in my SD pump this could be the issue ;)

I added a nut with one washer instead of the 4 washer and now it is double the size :mrgreen:

I'm able to accelerate faster till 4.000 rpm and able to rev till 4.700 rpm in 5th gear maximum. At idle the rev limiter is at ~5.500 rpm (little bit over that).
