Now driving on 16 inch Rover 45 Cosmos (BRM) wheels, other paint than the BRM wheels

Now i am thinking for chiptuning the Car, the specs I got from a company in holland is that they say they can give me 29 BHP more and about 37 LB/FT, giving 171 BHP And 280 LB/FT , first have to see than believe... Will try to scan the print out from the Rolling Road....[/QUOTE]

I think the chip tuners are a little optomistic.

280ft lb is not going to be reliable (if indeed possible) on the standard clutch which is usually ok to about 250fltb

170 bhp isn't possible from the standard turbo either.

Highest powered L series on standard turbos are about 150-155bhp and I'd not call them reliable at those sort of power figures.

Thanks for the reaction,

i have seen the powerfigures on the most off the cars,
but thinking of the maximum power figures for the standard turbo i could say that at this point my car is almost at the top.

Only advantage for chiptuning is that the fuelling will be optimized.
So little gains will be there for the car.

Thanks for the reaction...

I now have scanned the rolling road result...
Image

Good to see is the effect of the Mafam on the engine....

The redline is with the Mafam set @ 2-3 o clock.
The blueline is with the mafam turned down...

clearly seeing the extra power in the lower RPM Range..
