Im going to have a look in a hour or so, if there is no free play in the master cylinder linkage to the brake pedal how do i adjust it? is it from inside the car at the top of the pedal box or can i get to the bar by removing the master clyinder from the servo and adjusting the bar thats in there? i...

Thanks for the quick reply E T V. im pretty sure its both sides as the steering does not pull, i bought the kit from a well known rover dealer on ebay a few weeks ago and they fit properly so i assume they are proper mg zs 180 brakes.. i hope its not the master cylinder stopping the fluid returning ...

NOOOOOO! front brakes are binding badly, thought i had a flat tyre at first, i havnt used the car very much since i fitted the new brakes but 3 times now they have got very hot and its not from using the brakes, i have not driven hard at all since fitting them, if im able to briefly brake hard a few...

I made a mistake in the last post, the Rover bolts are 2 and 8 o clock (roughly) I cant remember what the disco ones are? I fitted the used MG ZS 180 master cylinder and its not too hard to bend the existing brake pipes to fit although if you manage to get the MG pipes off it looks better. Bled the ...

thanks E T V i looked at discos today but it looked like you would need the servo as well as the master cylinder mounting bolts are about 2 & 8 o clock position and the rover ones are different, plus as you say you need to sort the brake pipes so i decided to go with MGzs 180 master cylinder as ...

i cant find any info on putting the landrover master cylinder on the 45 but there is some info on fitting the mg zs master cylinder to the std 45 as you said, but would this land rover one be even better?

thanks so much for the fast reply E T V. i guess the extra travel is due to the bigger pots? its dissapointing to be honest i feel i have made them worse now, they where good brakes just so much fade with the solid disks. from your description i bled them right just not diagonal, i think i will blee...
