Re: Improved lighting

Update The bulbs I mentioned that are the best I have found so far are called ULTRA power bulbs 5000k they are e marked but don't say the wattage, I assume they are 55w. They are cheap too £7.99 a pair off ebay. When these are switched off they give the headlight a blue look which I like. The bulbs ...

Re: PG1 Drive Shaft oil seals

Thanks ETV, I went for the metal faced seals, very easy to swap, just prise out, push in. I thought I would mention that the part number for the kit mentioned above is probably not the right kit to replace the diff seals on the PG1 Diesel box, I bought it for the input shaft (gear selector) bar seal...

PG1 Drive Shaft oil seals

After fitting a new N/S drive shaft the oils seal is leaking quite badly, it is possible I damaged it while fitting the drive shaft or is it possible that the shaft may not be all the way into the gearbox, would this cause it to leak? Anyway I have the kit TRT 100050 which was the rubber oil seals i...

Re: UPRATED CLUTCH

This clutch has probably done about 3k now and it still judders in 1st and reverse, which is probably normal for this clutch. you can slip the clutch to reduce this but I don't like doing that, its not that a big issue for me, just letting you know ...

Re: Exhaust wrap?

ok I read on another forum that this is pretty much a waist of time and money & that's its not a good idea to wrap the manifold or turbo on these cars anyway so im not going to bother :)

Re: Exhaust wrap?

Also I see that exhaust wrap on ebay is about £1 per meter, is this cheap and poor quality? I remember it was about £50 last time I bought it but that was years ago.
would I have to try to wrap the exhaust manifold and turbo as well? I don't think the manifold would be easy to do though.

Re: Reversing lights on all the time

Right it have fixed this now, the switch is very sensitive in that a slight push on the protruding bit activates the lights, the new switches I bought didn't come with a washer and the washer I was using was a plastic one that was on the original switch that I took off, so who knows where that came ...
